Educational Programs
The positive changes which have taken place in Lebanon since the end of the civil war have made it once again possible for most Lebanese students to attain their higher educational goals without leaving their homeland. Accordingly, rather than sending large numbers of Lebanese students abroad for higher education, the Hariri Foundation has shifted its emphasis to a variety of short-term educational programs and to providing technical and administrative support for educational projects which meet the current and future needs of Lebanon.
To foster the growth of educational links between Lebanon and other countries, the Foundation selects outstanding Lebanese students for participation in institutes and conferences outside of Lebanon. In addition, the Foundation facilitates contact between Lebanon and North American educational and government educational and developmental entities wishing to participate in the development of Lebanon's educational resources.
As the flow of travel between Lebanon and the United States increases, the Foundation hopes to foster the growth of exchange programs which enable students and professors from the United States and Canada to learn firsthand about the rich cultural and historical heritage of Lebanon.
Finally, the Foundation continues to sponsor in specialized areas a number of highly selected and motivated students some of whom have been awarded full-tuition scholarships by their university when admitted to graduate programs.

Alumni Quote:
"Since my arrival in the United States, your mission, Mr. Al-Hariri, to build the
human resources of Lebanon through education has become clear. You provided me with full
financial support to study. It has been beyond imagining what the Foundation has provided
for me; the Foundation has been almost like a home away from home
. You have helped
me to build confidence. Your spirit in life became my faith in the future. Your framed
picture on my desk gave me hope, and your commitment to help those who need help became
one of my goals. It took me ten years to realize that your vision is global, and it
carries on the future of our land."
